VICKY BENZING AEROSPORTS
Airshow fans will be thrilled again this year by local favorite Vicky Benzing flying her vintage Boeing Stearman. The plane from the 1940’s was used as a trainer in World War II. Except for the engine and smoke system, Vicky’s Stearman remains as originally built 75 years ago. Vicky is an internationally renowned pilot, skydiver, aerobatic performer and air racer. In 2015, Vicky made history as the fastest woman air racer ever in the history of the National Championship Air Races when she flew the L-39 at 469 mph. New this year! – Vicki will also be flying the beautiful P-51, Plum Crazy. Plum Crazy is a famous purple air racer from the 1970 National Championship. A fan favorite in its heyday, Vicky hopes this iconic airplane will inspire a whole new generation of airshow fans.
