July 10, 2017 – SALINAS, CA — The California International Airshow is thrilled to announce the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team will be part of this year’s spectacular show, which is scheduled for September 30th and October 30th at the Salinas Municipal Airport.
The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is a single seat, twin-engine, all weather stealth tactical fighter aircraft developed for the United States Air Force. The result of the Air Force’s Advanced Tactical Fighter program, the F-22 was designed as an air superiority fighter but has additional capabilities including ground attack, electronic warfare and signals intelligence roles. The Raptor’s combination of stealth, aerodynamic performance and situational awareness gives the aircraft unprecedented air combat capabilities.
“We are extraordinarily excited that we were selected to host the most incredible jet demonstration performance in the world. The stealthy Raptor is the most technologically advanced tactical fighter on earth, it can perform maneuvers that were once considered impossible. This is an amazing opportunity to see the jaw dropping agility and thunderous speed of the legendary Raptor.” said Airshow Executive Director Bruce Adams.
The California International Airshow will be held September 30th and October 1st at the Salinas Municipal Airport.
